The institute established in 1992 at Gandhar as a  satellite  institute of Ankleshwar. Initially short term courses were started. Then 80 seats sentioned with two trades.  In 1996 two N.C.V.T. trades affiliation of D.G.E. & T. with 56 seats. Now institute running with 7 trades with 208 seats sanctioned and shifted in Bharuch.

                 The Institute of Bharuch on the river bank of Narmada the biggest river in Gujarat. The 158 years old Golden Bridge connects Bharuch to Ankleshwar across the Narmada on the station front while a new sardar Bridge connects the highway.

                In Bharuch today so many plants like GNFC, BlueStar, Videocon, ABC , GPEC, also arround the Bharuch so many plants

               Palej, Tilka, philips, Earborn, Netlon. In Dahej : Birla copper, Reliance , Welspun, GACL, ABC Shipyard, Jindal Shipyard, BASF, Gujarat port foliyo Terminal.  Ankleshwar which is one of the biggest industrial township in Asia known as Industrial township called G.I.D.C(Gujarat Industrial Development Corporation). Today Ankleshwar has so many big and small plants like  Asian paint, Cadila Pharmaceutical etc.
